Info

Chahine Fellahi (b. 1994) is a visual artist and filmmaker based between London and Casablanca. Her practice combines analog and digital tools to explore images as sensual sites of inter-corporeal and intersubjective encounters.

She is the co-founder of Kimiā, a collective dedicated to experimental film and media arts in Morocco. She also co-manages Rue de Tanger, an artist-run platform that supports contemporary art, research, and collaborative projects.

Alongside her artistic practice, Chahine has developed experimental creative learning programmes, including Wonder Club (in partnership with Corridor and videoclub) and Play Lab (The Mosaic Rooms).

London

Lum’a is an ongoing experimental creative learning programme that I developed as a series of immersive play rooms exploring light as a material for play, performance, and collective storytelling. Each session is built as a space to work with light directly—through shadow theatre, live cinema, projection, and simple hands-on making processes—where children and families can test how images form, shift, and disappear.

Rather than following a fixed outcome, each session is open-ended and emerges through play and experimentation. Participants work with light, shadow, movement, and sound to build scenes, invent characters, and construct small shared worlds. The focus is on process: how meaning is made through gesture, how narratives emerge through collective improvisation, and how image-making can be experienced as something physical and relational.
