RETHINKING THE BLUEPRINT: EXPERIMENTS IN FLUID CARTOGRAPHIES

⊛ April 2026

⛬ TU Delft University

Rue de Tanger, Casablanca

This workshop invited a group of architecture students from the Water Design Lab at TU Delft University to engage with the urban landscape of Casablanca’s port through experimental mapping techniques. The session approached the port area as a site of layered histories, infrastructural transformation, and contested access to water, situated between colonial legacies and ongoing coastal redevelopment linking the old Medina of Casablanca and the newly built Marina.

Through field research, experimental mapping, cyanotype printing, sound recording, and spatial assembly, the students explored alternative ways of engaging with the site and collectively constructing new situated narratives of the city.
