Cyanotype

Experimenting with the cyanotype technique, which uses light sensitive chemicals to produce blue prints, this workshop explored how quietness can help us regain the ability to connect with the world that surrounds us, and the details that often go unnoticed. We started by taking a walk around the area to collect objects, leaves and owers. These objects were then used to create the compositions for the cyanotype prints.

Whilst the prints were being exposed, we paid close attention to how the subtle changes of light affected the printing process. Throughout the workshop, participants were invited to share their thoughts about how to navigate sensorially oversaturated everyday experiences as well as how and where we nd places of quietness.
