15 Cyanotype prints, toned in Cactus extract 
20.3 x 25.3cm each

A series of portraits created in collaboration with the children of Laâssilat, a village located on the outskirts of Casablanca, using cyanotype emulsion toned in Opuntia Ficus Indica extract. The children's faces, woven with the dry fibers of the plant, form the collective memory of a generation bearing witness to the slow disappearance of this once thriving plant species from the region. 

This work was developed during the “Mémoire des Plantes et des Insectes” residency organised by Atelier de l’Observatoire in 2021.
